Roger Percy George.
On December 24th 2022, peacefully at ‘Bowbrook House Residential Care Home’, Shrewsbury, in the presence of dear friend Rosie Morris, following a short illness, Roger Jones, formerly of Oakley Street, Belle Vue, Shrewsbury, and of Bridgnorth, aged 97 years.
A Coldstream Guardsman for 5 years, followed by 30 years service as a Police Officer with West Mercia Constabulary and, later, Court Usher at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court for nearly 14 years.
The Husband of the late Betty Jones. Much loved and greatly respected within his community, Roger will be sadly missed by his many friends and those dearest to him.
Funeral service at The Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Bridgnorth, on Friday January 27th at 12.00 Noon, to be followed by interment at Bridgnorth Town Cemetery.
