‘WHITE. Kathleen May (‘Kay’)


On April 4th 2025, peacefully at Danesford Grange Residential Care Home’, Bridgnorth, following a long illness, Miss Kay White, M.B.E., of Claverley, Nr. Wolverhampton, aged 97 years.
The very dear Aunt of Ann, Philip, Richard, John and the late Stepen and their Families. Much loved and greatly respected within the community, Kay will be sadly missed by her Family, by friends and neighbours, by former colleagues and customers at Claverley Post Office, where Kay served as Great Britains longest serving Postmistress, and by all those dearest to her.
Private cremation ceremony.
A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving will be held at The Parish Church of All Saints, Claverley, on Wednesday April 30th at 11.00am.
A post-funeral reception will follow, to be hosted at ‘The Plough Inn’ at Claverley, and to which all Mourners are most warmly invited.
No flowers by request please, but donations, which are to be divided between ‘The Parish Church of All Saints, Claverley, Fabric Fund’ and ‘Claverley in Bloom’ are being gratefully received, for which purpose a collection box will be provided at The Church, or online at www.perryandphillipsfunerals.com
