Katie Adams
Katie Adams, Chris’s daughter, joined the business in November 2006, having previously worked as a qualified Nursery Nurse. Katie is responsible for many aspects of the day to day running of Perry & Phillip’s Funeral Directors. During Katie’s time at Perry and Phillps she has become fully qualified in ‘Child Bereavement’. Katie officially returned from Maternity leave in July 2013, after giving birth to her second child Elliott who joins his Sister Chloe, as the future generation? Katie takes great pride in ensuring the smallest of detail is considered for each funeral service, many will never know the level she will go to.

John Adams Dip FAA. Dip FD. Cert Ed.
John Adams, Chris’s son, joined the business in 2003, before joining the Royal Navy, where he completed 8 years service as an Electronic Warfare Director, seeing him operate all over the world. During his time in the Armed Forces, John completed a Funeral Officers course, which enabled him to conduct and arrange funerals for fallen serviceman. In 2012, John rejoined Perry & Phillips, and strives to maintain the high standards his previous family generations have set. in 2016, John qualified as an approved Tutor with the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and in 2017 was elected onto the Executive Committee of the NAFD.

Chris Adams Dip FD. M.B.I.F.D.
Robert’s son, Mr. Chris Adams, joined the business in 1979, having previously worked for the Ministry of Defense. In 1980, Chris started a 2 year training programme with Wheatley’s Funeral Directors in central Birmingham. On completion of his training, Chris was awarded a Diploma in Funeral Directing, and shortly afterwards becoming a Member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. For some years Chris was a committee member and Vice Chairman of Cruse in Shropshire. (https://www.cruse.org.uk/) Chris continues to lead the Family business forward and continuously looks to improve the standards his family have set.

Robert ‘Bob’ Adams
Perry & Phillips Funeral Directors was purchased by Robert ‘Bob’ in 1967 and the business was moved to New Market Building in Listley Street. He later relocated the family-run business to Underhill Street, where Perry & Phillips still proudly remains today. Bob continues (2017) to show a great interest in the family service. All at Perry and Phillips are fully aware, that despite time passing since Bob retired, the core values in how we look after the bereaved remain the same today.

Thomas Charles-Price Adams
Mr Thomas Charles Price-Adams of Worfield was the local funeral director, conducting the majority of the funeral undertaking from the family home, where he also traded as a carpenter and joiner until his death in 1949, aged 64. After his death, his son, Mr Robert George Adams carried on the family business.
Perry & Phillips Funeral Directors are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and act in accordance with The Code of Practice that sets out the high standard of service that bereaved families may expect from its members.
