Location: Cleobury Mortimer – Mortimer House
Working hours: 10am – 4pm.
(Position to open later this year when refurbishment work complete – we would like the position filled prior to opening)
Overall Role: We are a looking to recruit someone to join our small friendly team based at our Cleobury Mortimer facility. This person to carry out the accounting for all three Funeral homes within our business. We are a well-established Funeral Directors with our head facility based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, with the Cleobury Mortimer facility to be a new site to serve the bereaved of South Shropshire.
The role will also have the sensitive and impactful contact with the bereaved when first reporting deaths. This is an opportunity to support and give critical information to the bereaved at the most important time. Brief Job Description You will be responsible for all Xero software for Perry & Phillips. You will work as part of a small team dedicated to a client base. Whilst going through induction and training you will work closely with our Accountants firm for this handover of ledger work. Minimum Qualifications Requirements for the role
· A good phone manner (Personable, patient and kind)
· The individual to value the opportunity to carry out Funeral Industry qualifications (at no cost to you) to better their knowledge on funeral administration.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· To hold and promote monthly community morning at the Cleobury Mortimer facility.
· Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Xero and Excel.
· Be able to operate WhatsApp group Messages.
· Ability to follow instructions concisely.
· Work well with others and alone (This position is predominantly lone working – if you feel the need to have constant contact please do not apply)
· Dedication to achieving good results in a deadline driven environment.
· Ability to apply training experiences to different scenarios.
· An eye for detail
· A positive outlook on life.
· Flexible to meet with families outside of your contractual hours if necessary.
· Not interested in gossip.
· Discretion essential.
Pay: Around £11.50
Probation period: 6 months
Schedule:10.00am – 4.00pm (Monday to Friday)
Experience:
· Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
· An understanding of loss.
· Driving license required
