National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD)

Founded in 1905, as an organisation to represent the interestsĀ of both the bereaved and the Funeral Directors throughout the Country.

They set National standards for facilities and the services provided by Funeral Directors.

John Adams was elected onto the National Executive Committee of the NAFD in 2017 and was nominated and elected as Second Vice President in May 2019.

The Funeral Arbitration Scheme

NAFD Resolve is an independent conciliation and arbitration scheme designed to resolve complaints from clients relating to NAFD member funeral firms.

The Funeral Planning Authority

The Funeral Planning Authority (FPA) is an organisation set up by the industry to regulate providers in the UK pre-paid funeral plan industry. Their primary aim is to ensure providers are operating in a manner that will result in customers getting the funeral they have paid for when it is needed.

They do this by checking that all registered providers are abiding by a set of Rules and a Code of Practice, which goes above and beyond the minimum required standards. They also help customers who have a complaint about a provider by providing advice and attempting to resolve matters with the provider. If a resolution is not possible they will provide access to our independent dispute resolution process.


Perry & Phillips Funeral Directors are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and act in accordance with The Code of Practice that sets out the high standard of service that bereaved families may expect from its members.
